What is Fulfillment by Amazon ?

The Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) business model continues to grow in popularity, and for good reason. Fundamentally, it’s the same as a traditional e-commerce business. But, instead of your having to fulfill orders one by one, Amazon stores your products for you and even picks, packs and ships them out to customers.

Create an Amazon seller account

First things first: In order to get your FBA business up and running, you’re going to need to create an Amazon seller account. Go to Amazon’s website, scroll down to the footer and look for the heading marked “Make Money with Us.” Then, click on the link that reads “Sell on Amazon.”

What are the benefits of Fulfillment by Amazon?

Access to Amazon Prime customers
Customers love fast, free shipping. With FBA*, your products are eligible for Amazon Prime Free Two-Day Shipping, FREE Shipping for eligible orders, and other benefits that help you be more competitive. *Excludes Multi-Channel Fulfilment orders from other websites.

Competitive Pricing
Your FBA listings on Amazon.ca are sorted by product price without a shipping cost.

Trusted Customer Service and Returns
FBA listings are displayed with the Fulfilment by Amazon logo, so customers know that packing, delivery, customer service and returns are all handled by Amazon.

Fulfil Orders from other Channels
FBA can fulfil your orders from other sales channels from your inventory stored at an Amazon fulfilment centre. You manage your inventory through a simple online user interface and can direct us to return the inventory in our fulfilment centres at any time.
